Birria Tacos

This tasty and trending meat will take your tacos to the next level. This recipe is so tasty and made with spiced birria beef, corn tortillas and Oaxaca cheese. A great cinco de mayo feast.

This style of meat Originally comes from Jalisco, Mexico. It's a traditional meat that can be used for tacos, quesadillas and more.

You will want to make sure you have all the right peppers to get the taste right. Use Guajillo chilis, Pasilla chilis.

Start by sautéing the tomatoes and white onions in a large stock pot.

Next add in the chili peppers and water until the vegetables are covered. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 15 minutes.

Blend the simmered vegetables and add back to the pot. Cook the meat on a low simmer for 2+ hours, until tender!

Assemble the corn tortillas with the meat, cheese, and cilantro.

Fry each side until golden brown and the center cheese is melted and gooey.

Make a large batch and freeze for another meal! Dip the tacos in the extra broth known as consomme.
