Black Bottom Pie


Dive into this amazing southern style old fashioned Black Bottom Pie made with homemade chocolate pudding in a tasty pie crust topped with tasty whipped cream. Perfect for an Easter Dessert. 

Easy and Delicious


Add milk, sugar, coco powder, and corn starch to a saucepan and bring to a simmer.


Stir until it begins to form a pudding-like substance. Stir in the egg yolks. Keep stirring scraping the bottom so it doesn't burn.


Pour the homemade pudding into the baked crust and cool to room temperature and then in the refrigerator.


Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks appear. Top the cooled pudding and crust with a generous amount of whipped cream.
