Sweet and moist cornbread cake is so delicious and easy to make. Better than Jiffy Cornbread, this homemade recipe is the perfect sweet side to any chili, soup, or fall and winter dinner. A family favorite for sure!

In a medium mixing bowl combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix.


Next add the eggs, melted butter, and milk to the mixed dry ingredients.


Mix the wet and dry ingredients together until a smooth batter is formed. Add a tablespoon of milk at a time if the batter is too thick.


Pour the cornbread batter into a greased 9x9 baking pan. Bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes at 425* F.


Remove from the oven and cool. Cut into squares and serve with honey, butter, or plain. Enjoy!
