Halloween Chex Snack Mix is a fun and festive party recipe made with caramel-coated Chex, pretzels, and Bugles, then tossed with Reese’s Pieces, candy corn, candy pumpkins, and Halloween M&Ms for the perfect sweet and salty Halloween treat.
7cupschexI like to use corn or a combination of corn and rice
3cupspretzelsmini pretzel twists or sticks
2cupsbugles
For the Sauce:
⅔cupbutter
⅔cupbrown sugar
1teaspoonvanilla
For the Mix-in's
1cupReese's pieces
1cupcandy corn
1cupcandy pumpkins
1cupHalloween M&Ms
Instructions
Preheat oven to 275° F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Measure the chex, pretzels and bugles into a very large bowl. Melt the butter in the microwave and whisk in the brown sugar until dissolved or almost dissolved. Drizzle over top of the chex mix and stir to combine.
Spread the mixture over the parchment lined baking sheet evenly. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. Add the Reese's pieces, candy corn, pumpkins and M&Ms to the baking sheet and toss to combine. Transfer to a large serving bowl. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
Notes
You can use any type of Chex you'd like for this recipe. My dad loves it with Rice Chex and Wheat Chex, I like it with Corn Chex. Just use your favorite kind or whatever you have on hand.
You can use other mix-ins, if desired! Try using peanuts, marshmallows, different flavors of M&Ms and more.
