Peanut Butter Overnight Oats is an easy meal prep, protein packed breakfast for a busy morning. Top with banana, strawberry, or chocolate. Make it your own by using your favorite milk or milk substitute.
1tablespoonhoneyor maple syrup (if serving to a baby under 1 DO NOT use honey)
½cuprolled oats
Instructions
In a mason jar, or small container with a lid, add milk, chia seeds, honey, and peanut butter. Mix. The peanut butter may not fully mix and have a swirl look. See photos for a great visual.
Add in the the rolled oats and mix. Press the oats down to make sure they are covered by the liquid.
Cover with a lid or a tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
Enjoy plain, or topped with sliced strawberries, blueberries, bananas, or apples. Or mix in your favorite chocolate chips. Make this peanut butter and jelly and top with a tablespoon of your favorite jelly.
Notes
DO NOT use honey if serving to a baby under 1 years old.
Add a tablespoon of your favorite protein powder for added protein.
Use dairy milk, almond milk, soy milk, coconut milk etc. at a 1:1 ratio.
Sweeten with maple syrup instead of honey if desired.
Top with fruit, chocolate chips, or nuts.
Use Greek yogurt instead of milk. Make sure to mix the oats and chia seeds into the yogurt before refrigerating.
