This recipe yields about ⅔ cup cajun sauce. It can easily be made doubled, tripled or more.
If possible, use fresh garlic for maximum flavor. Use a garlic press for the easiest way to mince your garlic. Minced garlic may be used if necessary.
Bottled lemon juice may be used instead of fresh, if necessary, but we love and encourage using fresh lemons.
Not all cajun seasoning is created equal, you may need to add a little more depending on your seasoning.
If your cajun seasoning isn't spicy enough, add 1-2 teaspoons hot sauce to make it spicier.
Be very careful not to over cook your garlic. This will cause the sauce to be a funny texture and will alter the taste.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
We highly recommend using unsalted butter. Most cajun seasonings have some salt in them. If your cajun sauce ends up not being salty enough, add salt to taste.
