Instructions
Place slightly softened cream cheese in a medium sized mixing bowl or bowl of a stand mixer and beat on medium high speed until completely smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
Add Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes, milk and vanilla and beat until combined. Fold in the thawed Cool Whip with a spatula.
Place in a serving bowl and serve immediately or cover and place in the refrigerator until ready to serve. see note 4
Notes
For slightly softened cream cheese, you should be able to make an indent in the cream cheese when you push on it with your finger, but it should not be soft and mushy. I like to get mine out of the fridge about 20 minutes in advance for a cooler kitchen, and 15 minutes for a warmer kitchen.
Try this with the chocolate tree cakes for a fun way to switch it up! We recommend adding a little cocoa powder (to taste!) for a deeper chocolate flavor if making this version.
For a stronger cake flavor, add another 2-3 cakes. If you do this, you may need to add a little more milk until the desired texture is achieved.
This is best served chilled, store any leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
This is a great make ahead dip, make up to 24 hours in advance!
