- Cream Cheese- Be sure to soften the cream cheese so your dip isn't lumpy.

How to make Little Debbie Christmas Tree Dip
Learn how to make Little Debbie Christmas Tree Dip with these easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions.

- With a hand mixer, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.

- Add in the snack cakes, vanilla, and milk. Mix until smooth. The snack cakes should incorporate pretty easily because of their soft texture.

- Gently fold in the cool whip to help maintin the soft and fluffy texture.

- Sprinkle the top with additional festive sprinkles to get that green, red, and white look. Chill and serve
Hint: Make sure your cream cheese is softened! It will help the dip have the best texture.
Common Mistakes
Don't over-blend the mixture, it can make it overly thin or break down the Cool Whip, so mix only until smooth. Some people forget to chill the dip before serving, but giving it a little fridge time helps the flavors meld and creates the perfect thick, dip-able texture.

Top tip
The biggest tip is to crush the cakes before mixing so they incorporate smoothly and evenly into the dip; this avoids chunks that can weigh down the texture. If you want an even stronger Christmas Tree Cake flavor, add two or three more cakes and just splash in a little more milk until it reaches your perfect consistency.
Recipe

Little Debbie Christmas Tree Dip
Ingredients
- 6 ounces cream cheese slightly softened, see note 1
- 1 8.52 ounce package Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes -5 cakes- plus more for garnish, if desired
- ¼ cup milk any %
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 8 ounces Cool Whip or similar sweetened whipped topping, thawed
- christmas sprinkles optional, but so cute for serving
- cookies, graham crackers, nilla wafers, pretzels, fruit, etc for dipping
Instructions
- Place slightly softened cream cheese in a medium sized mixing bowl or bowl of a stand mixer and beat on medium high speed until completely smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes, milk and vanilla and beat until combined. Fold in the thawed Cool Whip with a spatula.
- Place in a serving bowl and serve immediately or cover and place in the refrigerator until ready to serve. see note 4
Notes
- For slightly softened cream cheese, you should be able to make an indent in the cream cheese when you push on it with your finger, but it should not be soft and mushy. I like to get mine out of the fridge about 20 minutes in advance for a cooler kitchen, and 15 minutes for a warmer kitchen.
- Try this with the chocolate tree cakes for a fun way to switch it up! We recommend adding a little cocoa powder (to taste!) for a deeper chocolate flavor if making this version.
- For a stronger cake flavor, add another 2-3 cakes. If you do this, you may need to add a little more milk until the desired texture is achieved.
- This is best served chilled, store any leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
- This is a great make ahead dip, make up to 24 hours in advance!

Variations and Substitutions
Try these variations and substitutions for fun flavors!
- Chocolate-This recipe works beautifully with the chocolate Little Debbie cakes for a deeper, richer dessert dip, and adding a spoonful of cocoa powder can intensify the chocolate flavor. I
- Without Cream Cheese- If you want a version without cream cheese, simply increase the Cool Whip and cakes until you reach a thick, fluffy texture that still tastes like the classic dip.
- Peppermint-You can also mix in a little crushed peppermint, rainbow sprinkles, or even swirl in a bit of strawberry jam for a playful twist, and serve it on a dessert tray with cookies, fruit, pretzels, or graham crackers.
Storing
This dip stores well in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to two days and tastes best chilled. If you're serving it later, just give it a gentle fold or stir before placing it out with your dippers. Because it stays cold and holds its texture, it's a perfect make-ahead treat for parties, cookie exchanges, and Christmas Day dessert tables.
Make-Ahead
One of the best parts about Little Debbie Christmas Tree Dip is that it can be fully prepared up to 24 hours in advance, making it ideal for busy holiday schedules. Letting it chill overnight actually improves the flavor and consistency, so it's ready to scoop and serve right when the festivities begin.
