Experience: Nicole Winegardner first started baking and helping out in the kitchen as an older child over 30 years ago. She started doctoring and manipulating recipes over 25 years ago. As a preteen, she started cooking one night a week with her dad, who “loosely” followed recipes and taught her to cook with her instincts and not worry too much about measurements. She is passionate about food and its ability to bring people together. She is also passionate about everyone being able to make good food and has worked tirelessly to create recipes that have the perfect taste and texture that anyone can make. Nicole is the lead recipe developer and food photographer for Simply Scrumptious Eats. She has also been a guest recipe creator for Pink When. She has spent many hours developing her skills as a recipe creator and food photographer through courses such as Cooking With Keywords and Two Loves Studio. She also attends Taste Maker Conferences both virtually and in person for continuing education.
Nicole strongly believes that variety is the spice of life and life was meant to be enjoyed. She loves trying new things and having new experiences. She loves to travel and experience new cultures. Nicole loves the sunshine, the ocean, perfectly baked bread, meeting new people, playing pickleball and playing the ukulele. She is an avid exerciser and loves lifting weights, practicing yoga, hiking and biking. When she’s relaxing you can find her on the couch with a book snuggling with her corgi, Taquito.
