Easy Peanut Butter Ramen is a quick and easy better than takeout ramen dish perfect for one or a group. Made with peanut butter, soy sauce, and an added kick with chili garlic sauce. The perfect spicy peanut noodles!
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Place dried ramen noodles in the boiling water and cook according to package directions. Drain noodles and put in a bowl.
While the noodles cook, mix together peanut butter, soy sauce, ground ginger, chili garlic sauce, and honey. Mix until a smooth sauce. See photos above for a great visual on what this looks like.
Pour the sauce over the drained noodles and mix until the noodles are well coated.
Serve with garnishes on top and enjoy!
Notes
Natural Peanut butter was used in the creation of this recipe. Natural peanut butter is thinner and runnier by nature. If using thicker peanut butter, the consistency of the sauce may be thicker. To thin, add ¼ teaspoon of soy sauce at a time until desired thinness and taste.
Serve chili garlic sauce on the side if you not everyone likes spicy noodles.
Use instant ramen noodles by opening a package of top ramen, discarding the seasoning and cooking the noodles according to the package. Drain and serve with peanut sauce.
This meal refrigerate great but once the ramen and sauce are mixed together and it sits for a period of time the flavor is weaker. Add in an extra dash of soy sauce, peanut butter, or chili garlic sauce to flavor leftover ramen.
If using a sweeter peanut butter, like non natural peanut butter, use a tablespoon less honey so it's not overly sweet.
Spicy - want it extra spicy? Double the chili garlic sauce, or splash on some sriracha.
Protein- Top with cooked shrimp or shredded chicken for added protein to the dish.
Not Spicy! - Don't like it spicy? Skip the chili garlic sauce altogether. If serving for a large group, we have a dish of chili garlic sauce on the side so people can put as much or as little as they want in their own serving.
Jammy Egg - Add a jammy egg to this noodle recipe.
Kid friendly - serve the noodles plain with the peanut sauce, sans chili garlic sauce. My kids love these noodles!
Deluxe - add garnishes like cilantro, green onion, and chopped peanuts to the top of the prepared ramen dish.
