Key Ingredients
Here's what you'll need for this spooky drink.

- Black Cherry Juice- We love using this drink because it gives it a dark and moody look while adding a tart and tangy zip.
- Lemon Lime Soda- Use your favorite lemon lime soda. We've tried it with Twist Up, Starry, and Sprite with success. Be sure to add this right before serving so you don't have a flat drink.
- Frozen Raspberries- You'll want to crush the frozen raspberries into small pieces so they give the drink a fun and spooky look. Make sure to use frozen and not fresh.
How to Make Halloween Punch
Use these step-by-step instructions as a guide to get the best results. It comes together in minutes.

- Add all the liquids to a fun pitcher or cauldron. Add the lemon lime soda last. Stir to combine.

- Next, add the crushed frozen raspberries right before serving.
Helpful hint: Make sure to never add the dry ice directly into someone's cup! Dry ice should only be added to the punch bowl and allowed to settle before serving.
Common Mistakes
Don't add too much juice without balancing it with the soda or some added sherbet. It can make the drink overly sour or flat. Don't garnish too far ahead of time. Raspberries and eyeballs look best when added just before serving.

Top Tip
To get that fun wow factor, add small chunks of dry ice just before serving and use a black cauldron or glass punch bowl to show off the fog effect. Always handle dry ice with gloves or tongs and keep it away from little hands!
Recipe

Halloween Punch
Ingredients
- 4 cups black cherry juice see note 1
- 3 cups cranberry juice cocktail
- 5 cup lemon lime soda
- 12 ounces raspberries see note 2
- black cherries and frozen hands, to garnish optional
Instructions
- Add the black cherry juice and the cranberry juice to your bowl and pitcher and give it a stir. Add the lemon lime soda and stir gently to combine. Add frozen cherries and frozen hands if using. Serve and enjoy!

For the Frozen Hands:
- Buy the smallest size you can of food safe gloves, fill with water leaving a bit of room for the glove to expand. Try to position the gloves in your freezer in such a way as to help it maintain their form. Freeze.

Notes
- This recipe makes 12 cups for a large pitcher. For a 6 quart punch bowl, double the recipe. For a 9 or 10 quart punch bowl, triple the recipe.
- The raspberries make this drink everything!! It causes the lemon lime soda to foam up all purpleish and gives it a spooky look.
- I like to stir the juices together before adding the soda. This makes the punch well mixed without making the soda flat.

How to Make Drinks Smoke for Halloween.
The key to making Halloween drinks smoke is dry ice. Place small chunks of dry ice at the bottom of your punch bowl (never in individual cups). As the dry ice reacts with the liquid, it creates a foggy, bubbling cauldron effect that looks ghostly and magical. Just be sure no one touches or ingests the dry ice - it must fully dissolve before drinking. Always follow dry ice safety precautions.
Variations
- Black cherries, lychee eyeballs, frozen hands, or sour straws - Optional garnishes that add major Halloween vibes. Lychee eyeballs are especially fun and creepy (just stuff a blueberry or grape inside a canned lychee for instant "eyeballs").
- Orange, lime, and green sherbet - Adds creaminess, color, and a fun bubbling effect when paired with soda or dry ice. Sherbet punch is a retro favorite for a reason!
- Dry ice - Creates ghostly fog and that amazing cauldron effect. Kids will love the bubbling, spooky presentation-it transforms your punch into a witches' brew!
Storage
This punch is best made fresh and served immediately, especially if using sherbet and dry ice. However, you can prep the juice and fruit mixture a day ahead and store it in the fridge. Add soda and garnishes right before the party for the best results.
