Another DIY simple recipe for the win! Make this easy recipe in a pinch to add flavor to all your favorite summer salads. It tastes great with both spinach and kale salads. Whether as a dip, a marinade, or a salad dressing, honey mustard is a go-to for bringing bold flavor!
Why Dijon Mustard instead of Regular Mustard? Dijon mustard is often chosen over regular mustard in honey mustard dressing because it has a smoother flavor and creamier texture that complements the sweetness of honey. It’s slightly tangy and less acidic than yellow mustard, which helps create a balanced, more mellow dressing.
Our favorite dish to top this with is our Christmas Salad and our Broccoli Salad with Craisins, it's so good!

What goes in Honey Mustard Dressing?
A great combination of flavors to make a simple yet satisfying dressing!
- Olive oil- The base of this dressing is olive oil. It pairs better with the ingredients than other oils.
- Apple cider vinegar- Make this a true vinaigrette with a sweeter vinegar.
- Honey- You can double the honey for a sweeter taste. Or substitute with maple syrup to make it vegan.
- Dijon mustard- For the best flavor use Dijon mustard instead of regular mustard. We love using the marzetti brand.
- Lemon juice- You can also use lime juice as a substitute.
- Seasonings- Salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes can all be added to taste.
