Key Ingredients
Texas Roadhouse Butter takes just a few minutes to make and tastes just like the restaurant-style spread you love. We also love adding a little vanilla for an extra layer of flavor, even though we left it out of the main recipe to keep the copycat flavor as close as possible.

If using unsalted butter, simply add a little extra salt to taste. Salted butter is our preference because it gives the spread a nice balance without needing much additional seasoning.
How to make Texas Roadhouse Butter
Use these step-by-step instructions as a guide to get the best results. You'll love this copycat recipe.

- Mix the butter until it is smooth. Use softened butter to help make sure there aren't any lumps.

- Add in the honey, cinnamon, powdered sugar, and vanilla.

- Mix until a smooth cinnamon honey butter is made.
Helpful Hint: Make sure your butter is truly soft before mixing. If the butter is still firm, you'll have a harder time getting a smooth, whipped texture and may end up with little lumps throughout the butter.

Common Mistakes
The biggest mistake is starting with cold or only partially softened butter. You want the butter soft enough to mix easily but not melted. Adding too much honey can also make the butter overly soft, so stick with the recommended amount if you want a spreadable butter that holds its shape.
Top tip
Add about ¼ teaspoon of vanilla! It makes this butter slightly less of a true copycat, but we love the extra flavor it adds. The vanilla makes the honey and cinnamon taste even more pronounced and gives the butter a delicious homemade flavor.

Copycat Texas Roadhouse Butter Recipe
Ingredients
- ½ cup salted butter softened
- 3 Tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 Tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- salt if desired, about a pinch, to taste
Instructions
- Mix softened butter to ensure there are no lumps! I like to use a mixer for this, but you can use a spatula. Stir in the powdered sugar, honey and cinnamon until well combined. Add a small bit of salt to taste, if desired.

- For a compound butter, place on a sheet of saran wrap and roll into a log then refrigerate at least 2 hours before using.

- This can be left out at room temperature for 3 or 4 days, but after that move it to the refrigerator to store it.
Notes
- We love this with about ¼ teaspoon vanilla! It makes it a little less of a copycat so we didn't include it in the recipe, but we feel like it's worth trying.
- Make sure your butter is nice and soft to ensure no lumps!

Storing
Texas Roadhouse Butter can be left at room temperature for 3-4 days. After that, transfer it to the refrigerator and store it in an airtight container. If you've made a compound butter log, keep it wrapped tightly in the refrigerator until ready to use.
To freeze, wrap the butter tightly in plastic wrap and place it in an airtight freezer-safe container or bag. Freeze for up to about 3 months for the best quality. Thaw it in the refrigerator, then let it soften at room temperature before serving.
