These Chicken Caesar Wraps have a variety of textures. Crunchy romaine lettuce, tender flavorful chicken, yummy bacon bits and shredded parmesan cheese all come together with your favorite Caesar dressing to form one of the easiest, lightest and tastiest meals.
We eat these year round, but we especially love them in the summertime. They are fresh, light, flavorful and so easy to make. They take about 10-15 minutes from start to finish. I will often serve them with a bowl of fruit salad and my favorite lemon crinkle cookies and refreshing Watermelon Water when we have guests over in the warmer months. It makes for a quick and easy crowd pleaser. Or try this Asian Chopped Salad Chicken Wrap, or Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas for another quick meal.

Ingredients
Below is a list of ingredients needed for this recipe. Follow our tips on each ingredient for best results.
- pita pockets - use whatever your favorite brand is. We found while recipe testing that thinner pockets were preferred. With the thick ones, there was just too much bread.
- chicken - we love to use leftover rotisserie chicken or cooked shredded chicken for this recipe. We tested it with all types of chicken, breast, wing, thighs, etc. It didn't make a lot of difference, just use whatever you like best.
- romaine lettuce - we tried a variety of lettuces when we were trying out this recipe. We like romaine for it's great crunch. Our second favorite was half romaine and half spring mix for a variety.
- garlic powder, rosemary, thyme, oregano, salt and pepper - we tested this with a lot of different spices and finally settled on this combination to give the best flavor.
- bacon bits - you can buy store bought bacon bits if you like. My personal favorite is cooked and crumbled bacon (I store mine in the freezer).
- parmesan cheese - the perfect flavor to tie everything together! You may substitute with romano, if desired. Just be warned it has a stronger flavor.
- Caesar dressing - we love Newman's Own, it's our favorite. If we're out, I'll sometimes put Olive Garden dressing on.
How to Make Chicken Caesar Wraps
First, wash and chop your lettuce. We love the fresh crunch of romaine, but I've used spinach, kale and mixed greens before and they work too. Put your lettuce in a large bowl.
Pair it with our roasted zucchini for a full meal.
Then grab your favorite Caesar or Italian dressing. Our favorites are Newman's Own for Caesar or Olive Garden for Italian, but anything will work- just use your favorite! Drizzle the dressing over the lettuce and stir to combine.
Next, you'll get your cooked and shredded chicken breast in a bowl. Be sure to check out an easy way to shred chicken here. I like to cook a bunch at once and stick extras in the freezer so I always have some on hand. Canned chicken also works great. Add in the spices and stir to combine.
Top the lettuce with the chicken and mix lightly- be careful to not let the chicken sink to the bottom! Stuff the mixture into a pita and top with bacon and parmesan. Whenever we have extra bacon I like to break it into little pieces and keep it in the freezer to use as bacon bits. You can buy bacon bits or break up cooked bacon for this. And there you have it! Chicken Caesar Salad Pitas that are fresh, flavorful and so easy!
Variations and Substitutions
We love switching things up when we're in the kitchen. Try any of these variations for something a little different.
- dressing - feel free to use any dressing you want. Get one that has a good Italian/ Caesar flavor. We recommend steering clear of sweet dressings for this recipe.
- ditch the pita pocket and just have a delicious Caesar salad.
- prepare your chicken however you want - this is extra good with grilled chicken. Use the same seasonings and add a little lemon juice and olive oil for a marinade.
Storing Chicken Caesar Wraps
Store ingredients separately in an airtight container. If the lettuce is stored with the other ingredients, it will get soggy. You can freeze some of the ingredients like the chicken and bacon and pita pockets in freezer containers for up to 2 months.
Top Tips
Make this ahead of time! Prepare all ingredients up to 2 days ahead of time but keep them separated. Combine right before serving.
Make these your own and toss with your favorite salad toppings. We love to use whatever we have in our refrigerator like tomatoes, cucumbers and bell peppers.
Make these a little spicy by adding ¼ - ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes at the same time as the seasonings.

We love Caesar salad but I've never felt like it was hearty enough to feed my teenage boys for a main dish. This was incredibly easy, especially because I used a rotisserie chicken and it was a great main dish! The entire family loved it and has asked that I make it again soon!
