Ingredients
For this air fryer recipe, you'll need your favorite brand of frozen biscuits. We love using Grands. Another great biscuit to try is Red Lobster Frozen biscuits and any store brand. We added cooking oil to prevent the dough from sticking and butter to keep it from drying out.
How long to cook frozen biscuits in the air fryer?
To know what time and temperature to use in your air fryer start with these basic guidelines. Every air fryer is different and you may need to adjust based on what type you have.
How do you keep biscuits from sticking in the air fryer? Start by brushing cooing oil on the air fryer basket. This is really important or else the biscuits will stick.
Place the frozen biscuits in the air fryer basket. Make sure they are spaced out evenly and not touching each other.
Flip the biscuits over 8 minutes into cooking. Cook for another 3-6 minutes. You want each side to be a nice golden brown color.
Remove from the air fryer and enjoy topped with honey butter, jam, or biscuit gravy.
Hint: If the biscuit is still doughy in the middle cook for more time. You want it to be cooked all the way through before removing from the air fryer.
Learn From Us
Make sure you space the biscuits out! The first time I made this I had them too close together and they didn't have enough room to expand. Just like when you bake them in the oven, the biscuits will rise as the cook.
While topping the biscuits with butter is delicious, you don't need to brush a wash on top of the biscuit to get that golden brown color. The oils in the biscuit help produce that beautiful golden brown color.
Parchment Paper in an Air Fryer
We don't suggest using parchment paper in the air fryer for this recipe. Parchment paper inhibits the flow of air in the air fryer. An air fryer works by circulating a lot of air and does not work properly when you use parchment paper.
Storage
Store leftovers at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days. When ready to eat again, reheat in the air fryer at 350° F for 2 minutes, flip, then 1-2 minutes longer. The time and temperature are important to keep track of so you don't burn the biscuits.
Top tip
Not all air fryers are created equal! This recipe was made with a NINJA foodi air fryer. You may need to adjust the time and temperature depending on which type of air fryer you use.

Air Fryer Frozen Biscuits
Equipment
Ingredients
- 6 frozen biscuits
- cooking oil
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 330° F. Brush the basket of the air fryer with cooking oil. Place biscuits in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving about ½" space in between each biscuit so they have plenty of room to expand and cook.
- Cook for 8 minutes, then flip and cook an additional 3-6 minutes. The biscuits will be a deep golden brown color when they're done. Check for doneness by opening the biscuit to make sure it isn't doughy. If it's doughy at all, return to air fryer and cook an additional 2 minutes.
- *Not all air fryers are created equal. We used a NINJA foodi air fryer for this recipe. Time and temperature may vary depending on type of air fryer. Please watch your food and make sure it doesn't burn.
Notes
- These will be a deep golden brown when done. If they are light golden, then the inside will likely be slightly doughy. Not recommended.
- I tested this recipe with a butter wash, avocado oil wash and egg wash on top of the biscuit to see the best results. I found these biscuits don't need anything brushed on top for that beautiful golden color!
- To prevent a buildup of grease on your air fryer, we recommend getting a paper towel and wiping down the air fryer basket while it's still warm. This way you can remove the grease before it sticks to the basket.
- Some non stick sprays and olive oil tend to leave a sticky residue on the air fryer basket. We recommend brushing the basket with avocado oil or vegetable/ canola oil for the best non-residue results.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350° F for 2 minutes, flip, then 1-2 minutes longer.
