Ingredients
For this recipe, you will only need frozen Texas Toast. You can find this in the frozen bread section of most grocery stores. We've found that both brand and off-brand toast works great. Texas Toast comes with butter, garlic, and other seasonings already on it.

How long to Air Fry Texas Toast garlic bread?
Learn how long to cook frozen Texas Toast in the air fryer with these simply easy-to-follow instructions. You won't want it any other way!
Place frozen bread on the bottom of the air fryer basket. Make sure to give each piece of toast space for a better cooking experience.
Halfway through the cooking time, flip each piece of toast over. This allows each side to get toasted.
Carefully remove the hot bread from the air fryer. Serve immediately!
Hint: Don't forget that not all air fryers are made the same! You will need to adjust the cook time according to the type of air fryer you have.
Variations
- Pizza- Make it pizza style. It's so good! Air fry for 4 minutes and remove from air fryer, flipping over so that the crispy side is facing up. Top with marinara, mozzarella cheese and all of your favorite toppings. Return to the air fryer and air fry 2-4 more minutes, until cheese has melted.
- With cheese- Air fry for 4 minutes, flip, sprinkle cheese on top and air fry another 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted. One of our favorite cheese blends is the five-cheese blend. It's really good on Texas Toast.
Learn From Us
We wanted to get the texture just right when air frying this side dish. This cook time gives you soft bread in the center with a perfectly crisp outside.
If you want it extra crispy, make sure to air fry for an extra two minutes. Be sure to check your toast before adding the two minutes on so you don't burn it. If you want soft bread with yummy melted butter, you only need to air fry it for 2 minutes per side.
How To Serve
We've enjoyed having this side dish with delicious pasta dishes. It makes for a no-hassle bread without skipping out on all of the flavors. We've really liked serving it with Rattlesnake Pasta and Cajun Shrimp Pasta.
Serve with some of our other air fryer side dishes like, Air Fryer Smashed Potatoes, Corn Ribs, and Air Fryer Sweet Potato Cubes.
How do you reheat Texas Toast?
This recipe is best the day you air fry it. But if you happen to have leftovers, store them in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. When ready to eat again, reheat in the air fryer until hot all the way through. The texture may be tougher.
Top tip
Unlike other air fryer recipes, you don't need to spray the air fry basket with cooking spray before using it. The butter from the toast will help keep the garlic bread from sticking.

Pairing
These are my favorite dishes to serve with Texas Toast:
Recipe
Air Fryer Texas Toast
Equipment
Ingredients
- 8 slices Texas Toast frozen
- cheese such as mozzarella or parmesan optional
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F.
- Place frozen Texas Toast in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Leave a tiny bit of space between the slices so they don't stick together and so there is room for air flow. Cook for 4 minutes, flip, and cook an additional 2 minutes. Cook longer for crispy and shorter for soft.
With Cheese:
- Follow directions above, except after flipping the toast, sprinkle cheese on top. Cook until cheese is melty, 2-3 minutes. Our favorite with Texas Toast is parmesan.
- Not all air fryers are created equally. Your air fryer may need more or less time to cook the toast. I used a NINJA Foodi grill air fryer for this recipe.
Notes
- The butter from the toast makes it so that the toast does not stick to the air fryer basket. There is no need to grease the basket for this recipe.
- Make sure there is a tiny bit of space between each slice of toast. Otherwise there isn't proper air flow and they won't cook properly.
- This produces a toast that is lightly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. For extra crispy, cook 2 minutes longer. For a soft bread with melty butter, cook 2 minutes each side.
- For a little extra flavor, sprinkle on a little italian seasoning and red pepper flakes after flipping the toast.
